This story truly leaves so much up to the imagination while also feeding you all it can from the actual experience shown in front of you. The characters and aesthetics are so unique and seeing so many characters from different medias was super fun. The villain is truly one-of-a-kinda and amazingly portrayed. I always love the antagonists who do what they do for purely selfish and jealous reasons. It's feel-good family comedy but also dark enough to excite further interest. The blend of environments was also fun to see with the bright and colorful candy world simultaneously existing with the action-fps games as well as the characters from both. Amazing movie.

The colors. The asthetic. The way the characters move and how they are positioned in the camera shot. Everything is perfect. The music choice is amazing and I have the entire score downloaded on my phone. The Beach Boys? Bobby fuller four? It's incredible. This film portrays so many emotions: feeling like the scapegoat, trying to live up to everyone's expectations, trying to mask your fear and anxiety, loving someone who's not good for your safety, acceptance, unity, love, and family. Every character is unique and you can feel what they are feeling in real time. This is a must-watch for anyone who feels "different"
