I'm already a Star Trek fan, but every season has continued to exceed my expectations.
Strange New Worlds is just a really solid show. Each season feels smoother, more confident, and more fun to watch. The writing's sharp, the episodes move well, and the characters keep getting more likable.
Anson Mount is great as Pike, relaxed but in control. Ethan Peck brings something cool to Spock without trying too hard. The rest of the crew fits in well, and it feels like they're actually having fun making it.
It still has a classic Star Trek feel, but it's very modern and easy to get into. If you're new to Star Trek, this is the one to start with.

Running Point draws clear parallels to Ted Lasso, placing Kate Hudson's Isla Gordon, a socialite turned team owner, in a similar fish-out-of-water scenario. While the show delivers consistent humor and a feel-good vibe, it doesn't quite match Ted Lasso's emotional depth-BUT, it's still a great show. Supporting characters, are good and played by really funny actors. Altogether, the exploration of family dynamics and leadership challenges has some relatable moments. It's an enjoyable, lighthearted watch, and I give it a 8/10 for easily engaging entertainment. Basically, it's a solid, undemanding binge. You'll probably chuckle, and it's perfect for when you just want to switch off your brain for a few hours.
Common Side Effects feels like the next great high-concept adult animation. The first two episodes blend dark humor, sharp social commentary, and surreal visuals in a way that's thought-provoking and inspiring. The story hits on corporate greed, the pharma industry, and human curiosity-but does so in a way that's weird and unpredictable. The writing is clever, the animation is unique, and the voice acting is spot-on. It's the kind of show that sticks with you after watching, leaving you excited for what's next. If the rest of the season keeps this pace, it'll be one of Adult Swim's GOAT shows for sure.
