I wasn't sure what to expect going into The Monkey, but I was really impressed with how it turned out. The film does a great job of capturing the eerie, unsettling tone of Stephen King's story without leaning too heavily on jump scares. The tension builds slowly and really sticks with you.
The performances are strong and believable, which made the supernatural elements feel even creepier. I also thought the sound design and pacing worked really well. Little details like the toy monkey's presence made the atmosphere feel genuinely disturbing.
Overall, this is one of the better King adaptations in recent years. It's creepy, well-made, and memorable. If you're a fan of psychological horror with a touch of the supernatural, it's definitely worth watching.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a rare kind of anime that rewards patience. At first, the pacing feels deliberate, even slow, as it carefully sets the tone and eases you into a world where the battles are quiet and the stakes are often emotional rather than explosive. But that pacing is purposeful and as the story unfolds, it becomes clear just how beautifully it's building something meaningful.
What truly elevates the series is its character development. Each arc adds depth and humanity, but Fern, in particular, stands out. Her growth is subtle yet powerful, and watching her evolve alongside Frieren feels both authentic and earned. The show doesn't rely on flashy moments to hook you. Instead, it invites you to reflect on time, memory, and what it means to truly connect with others.
By the time things pick up, you're deeply invested, not just in the journey, but in the quiet moments in between. It's introspective, emotionally rich, and refreshingly mature. For fans of storytelling that lingers long after the credits roll, Frieren is a must-watch.

I absolutely love The Bear. It's one of those shows that just gets better the more you watch. The character arcs are phenomenal. Each one feels so grounded, raw, and authentic. You really get to see the growth, the tension, and the heart behind every person in that kitchen. It reminds me a lot of Chef with Jon Favreau, which is one of my all-time favorite movies. That same passion for food, the chaos of the kitchen, and the deep personal stories woven into it all. It's just so well done. The Bear hits hard in the best way and leaves you hungry for more, both emotionally and literally.
