This movie was my childhood. Trust me when I say that my childhood was spent watching this. Yet, on a rewatch, this was HORRIBLE!
The film follows some elephants as they try to reunite with their families. The problem with this is that it spends nearly every second of the film talking about how families are important! They went so far with this message in this film, the main villain's motive is literally BANNING FAMILIES! No explanation, just banning families.
The animation, while probably the strongest part about this film, is mediocre. Like, seriously, they tried... sorta?
But the worst part about this film is the characters. We've got Melody, who is more selfish than likeable, Rock who is potrayed as this selfish dad (even tho he's literally trying to prevent a literal WAR), the villain who I forgot his name, and Wingman, who... just NO. The other characters only exist to be annoying and that's it.
Although it has been a while since I've seen the first movie, this sequel is probably worse, considering all that I've mentioned. Although I will give it points for the unintentional comedy, which is the best part of the film.
Anyways, time for the sub categories!

I am not kidding, the title of this review is the best way to describe this show. Sure the visuals are great, but other than that, it's way too bland to even call it good. The Story is Generic and Bland, and nearly all the characters are forgettable.
Anyways, time for the sub categories!

Although there is definitely much worse you can experience out there, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is not a good special. The story is generic, heavily Deus ex Mancha, and is so rushed to the point where it's impossible to know what's going on. The characters are bland and generic, and the songs are basically filler, and not in a good way.
That said, the only good part is the fantastic animation. So at least the special has SOMETHING to offer.
Overall, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is not at all a good way to celebrate Peanut's 75th anniversary. It's really disappointing that THIS is how we are supposed to celebrate.
