Formally trained in theatre, film and TV directing, he wrote and translated/adopted plays and directed for professional repertory theaters in Romania, including critically well-received "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller and "Love's Labour's Lost" by Shakespeare; original actors and puppets "Amor" that opened EUROmarionettes festival in 1994; popular long running musicals "Ages of Love" and "Crazy Cats", which he both adapted and wrote the lyrics; and in California "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" by Shakespeare for Magnolia Playhouse of Hollywood, and the staged reading of "Confessions of A Catholic Child" by Elizabeth Appell for Long Beach Playhouse.
He is also better known in the US as "Peggy" - the telephone representative of the fictional "USA Prime Credit" company in the Discover Card commercials.
