Pat first appeared in Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
(episode No Way Out) when he was 20 years old. He played a seaman who
guarded a door on the Seaview and he is required to refuse entry to the
episode trouble maker. It was a well acted scene that looked great on
film and the quality of the moment made Irwin Allen cast Pat in other
projects.
(on acting on the stage) "It's a great opportunity when you can afford to work for the low salaries in the live theater. Because in that two and a half hours you can give that courageous small audience who comes out to see a play a wonderful experience."
