Best Director (Dramatic), and, along with John Kani and Winston Ntshona, as
authors of Best Play nominee "Sizwe Banzi is Dead and The Island;" in
1981 as author of Best Play nominee "A Lesson from Aloes;" in 1982 as
Best Director (Play) and author of Best Play nominee "'Master
Harold'... and the Boys;" and in 1986 as author of Best Play nominee
"Blood Knot." He has yet to win.
