Michael Z. Gordon's first song was a hit record. He bred and raced
thoroughbred racehorses and his first horse won 13 races out of 16
starts. Gordon became a leading thoroughbred breeder in California. He
has owned a cocktail bar, worked as a Court Reporter, taught Court
Reporting and ultimately was hired to run the Court Reporting College.
During this time, he also purchased and remodeled houses for resale.
Gordon taught himself how to play the guitar and piano after buying a
booklet on piano chords.
