David Headon prefers operating cameras with a 'geared head' instead of fluid head & "panning-arm. . " I'll just use whatever head and tripod is there most of the time, but especially on longer lenses, if there is a MoY Head or a Mitchell Mini around I always go for that. It gives a better feel, and that true Hollywood panning without whiplash."
