There are numerous articles erroneously identifying Stephen Gilbert and Gilbert Ralston as one person. Coincidentally, both men were born in 1912 just six months apart. Northern Ireland-born novelist Stephen Gilbert (Ratman's Notebooks) died in 2010. California-born Willard (1971) and Ben (1972) screenwriter Gilbert Ralston died in 1999.
