This film short which I previewed and respectively was asked to review was from Jack Norman of Studio 605. This short which has a runtime of about 6 minutes, has the true vibe of Halloween all over it.
The film starts out on Halloween Eve and introduces us to Matt played by: Matthew Stout. He's watching Night of the Living Dead as he is passing out candy to the local kids when suddenly there's a deep, heavy knocking on the front door. A young woman played by: Candy Cane is crying out in distress for his help, reluctantly he lets her in. This sets off a series of events leading up to a nocturnal visit from someone who introduces himself as "The Cable Guy" who is played by Writer and Director - Jack Norman. Once inside the house, the turn of events takes a sinister twist where Matt has to try to survive the night.
The cinematography and the sound editing is really top notch for such a small budget. The opening sequence is really atmospheric, it almost has a John Carpenter vibe to it. It really sets up perfectly, the dark events which follow throughout the rest of the film.
This film previewed before the screening of The Campground: The Requel on November 12 at Greendale Cinema in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
