Cathy's Diaries Volume 10

Like her predecessor Sarah Young (my all-time favorite Adult Cinema star), Cathy Barry never cracked the U.S. porn market. Like Sarah she has regrettably retired, and this final video displays her doing what she does best, uninhibited Old School porn.

Released in 2011 by her Pumpkin Media label, its four segments were shot from 2005 through 2009, latter apparently when she quit appearing before the camera. Cathy serves as host introducing each vignette and I could not perceive which was oldest or newest, as she physically looks the same (age and styling) throughout.

She appears with peer and pal Charmaine Sinclair in a lesbian sex scene of obvious interest to their mutual fans. Sinclair claims it's been 13 years since she did a Sapphic scene on screen, making this somewhat significant.

Other icons grace the stage: Michelle Thorne and Angel Long for a finale featuring Frazer Fox among the femmes. It's somewhat surprising that of all this talent only Long managed to carve a long and rewarding career in America after her British and Continental success.

Similarly, Cathy's old teammate from her biggest hit feature "The Affair", Omar Williams returns to hump her and fellow icon Renee Richards in the opening threesome. He too, despite innumerable (probably exceeding a thousand) appearances was never a headliner in America, though clearly visible in features by Tanya Hyde, Jake Steed and a slew of his own VCA videos, last-named dumped unceremoniously into the market at the turn of this century.

We'll miss Cathy, like Sarah, an incomparable screen personality and oh- so British.
