Lesbian Crime Stories 2

Girlfriends Films is undeniably an extremely successful label in Lesbian Cinema, but quality control has never been its strong suit. This belated followup (3 years after) to a failed series concept is so amateurish in all respects as to make one wonder why it was released at all.

GIrlfriends has a formula of providing four XXX scenes per DVD, and two of the four here are completely extraneous, not linked to the meager story line. In what looks (cheaply) like the same bed in an undecorated bedroom, video opens with Celeste Star and Ryan Ryans making love, and later we have Rilynn Rae and Alina Li in their stead, none of the four given a character to play in the story.

With awkward dialog, we see three DEA government agents dealing with an informant (very poorly played by Evi Fox) and on stakeout to capture the mysterious druglord known as The Spider. Identity of this villain is revealed at film's violent end.

The only plausible explanation for junk this bad is my admittedly paranoid notion that recent incompetence in Adult movie storytelling is on purpose, to hasten the day that all porn is mindless all-sex gonzo, having made acting/story in XXX disreputable.
