Well first of all to say it is about a man called Dinabandhu who tries to lead an honest life. Everything about him is alright except his only habit of little egoistic about his economical conditions. The story of the film starts with his marriage, his struggle in his married life along with his two daughter which continues to their education life upto their marriages. Toward the end he is met with a situation(being bankrupt) where he asks for his youngest daughter to save his honour by running away with her lover. The film carries a negative theme though optimism is also portrayed in sidelines.
Within the film there are very well portrayal of universal human sentiments which holds the weight of the movie apart from the story. Arun Nath and Tapan das are just superb. Other actors are well done also. The songs are still great reminisce the maestro level. The videography the other technical department are all done well. Though I rated 9, I wanted to give it a 9.5, for there is a minor plothole. And that is Dinabandhu is a man of Egoistic nature regarding his financial conditions about which he is not at all comprising but that nature is only referred in the movie. It is not felt or portrayed strongly. Needed some plot to justify that. Towards the end he confess about his ego nature in front of his daughter and asks for her help. I thought this is a significant point that is missed in the entire film. And apart from that everything is superbly good and realistic which is worth watching. An 88/100.
