Backwoods

First off, you get an idea of how amateur this will be in the first scene of dialogue with how the editing is done. Camera constantly switches only on actors who are talking. No reaction shots. This leaves your head feeling dizzy. Second the two lead "actors" seemed to be doing some sort of pretend acting common amongst amateurs with the exception of the actor who played the quarterback boyfriend. He seemed to be the only one who "got it" and was believable. Even still he is barely in the movie and it suffers for it. Leaving the viewer to watch a girl play pretend as a cheerleader girl boss, a dude pretend to be an outcast who is also trying to force some sort of chemistry into the mix but it is obviously forced.

I feel maybe I'm being too harsh but given that I paid for this I think I deserve to be a bit upset. Some scenes also didn't make sense and looked like they were added later. The monster was predictable and the moral superiority and agenda preaching was rough. The people who made this simply are not good enough to be aggrandizing to any cause. Make good art first then maybe you can spout whatever silly ideas you have.
