At first I thought this movie seems to get its idea from the Western TV remake of SWAT (released in 2017), with similar plot of showing the elite unit training day in day out and completing their assignments, plus the addition of female member in the squad.
However, this one truly lacking in the characters development as there were too many people involved making it truly hard to relate with them in particular. Not sure if the intention was not to have any member stood out, but I personally felt huge challenge to like these characters when they seemed to be having no background at all.
Having relatively unknown actors/actresses playing certainly did not help, especially since their acting inexperience were too apparent (aside from Robert Knepper who was a familiar face). The only thing watchable was the action part which despite understandbly looked like from B movies, but at least they tried to do them professionally.
There was mid end credit scene showing real life SWAT unit in China which this movie was dedicated to. If only they use a better writer/director and more well known stars to play in it, it would have gotten the proper attention and better appreciation to this unit.
