A guy clearing out his boxes of childhood junk from his old bedroom digs up a forgotten weird imaginary creature he made out of paper as a kid, and it seems that the creature wasn't too happy at being put away for so long... It's a simple tale of suspense that resolves quickly, but it has a very well maintained build up of tension as the guy puts his freaky made up monster man together piece by piece, with a noticeable emphasis on his hand near the thing's paper cutout mouth, with several false scares as it approaches the real jolt and I really loved this for what it is, in the second that you see the golfball-eyed purple monster as it becomes three-dimensional and takes a bite as the short ends it's a great little scare, he looks both ridiculous and scary! I enjoy shorts of this nature because they can establish and build upon a simple creepy idea in a brief amount of time, and while yes you can see where it's going from the start it's still fun and eerie getting to that part. Very good little monster related short and worth a look if you like the many monster jumpscare shorts like it, just creepy fun! X.
