Anecdotes
In addition to voicing the puppet characters Ransu and Elmeri, the actors Pertti Nättilä and Pekka Salo also appear as musicians of the brass band. Blending into the ensemble helped the actual puppeteering, since Ransu and Elmeri are also "part of the band". Since Riku is absent from the Karvakuonot (according to storyline, Riku had taken an assistant's job at the summer theatre), a third puppet character Saimi (a Saimaa ringed seal) was added to the series.
