Sex Lies and Guys

The most surprising aspect of Nica Noelle's "Sex Lies an Guys" vignette DVD is using a single actor in 3 different roles (in 3 of the 4 segments), in a sort of take it or leave it fashion. Mason Lear is the actor given the plum assignment, but at first I was confused, assuming he was a recurring character rather than something of a 1-man repertory company.

In his opening vignette, Lear provides voiceover narration as a gay guy telling us about his roommate Lance Hart, a more familiar member of Nica's all-male troupe. We learn that Lear observed Hart caught-in-the-act humping some guy, even though he is engaged to a woman while playing it straight as roommate.

Mason confronts him with this fact and uses sexual blackmail (threatening to tell the fiancee) to force Hart to have sex with him. It's the usual dramatic device Nica injects to give some depth and involvement to her almost-All-Sex videos.

Lear is absent from the second segment, in which cute young twink Adam Awbride visits his teacher Dallas Steele to seduce him. It takes a bit of convincing but this is blatantly an Older/Younger sex routine, a genre Nica perfected a decade earlier when she was specializing in girl/girl porn. For marketing purposes, Dallas and Adam are the cover boys on the DVD, not Mason.

The final two vignettes both feature Mason again as top, Austin Chapman and Brian Bonds respectively. The bearded Lear has his bad guy routine down pat, but in the finale, a somewhat bittersweet scene, he is not fully in control.
