Unusual flashback Western from after WWII

Lane plays WWII army returnee reminiscing about his stagecoach robber granddad in the Old West, who made good in spite of a black sheep in his gang and some dark forces in town, whom he subdues through his card game prowess. Very gripping fight on top of stagecoach is the movie's highlight, the other positive aspect being that it's over in 59'.
