A test tube baby is born. And the baby looks just like Spede! Here's the full story.Mathematician Mauno Mutikainen scratches his head and gets a stick in his finger. He has to be operated, and he dies.Except that he doesn't.At the same time Dr. Jyrä is developing a test tube baby.He gets a piece of thyroid from Mutikainen, so the baby looks like him.So there are two Spedes walking around. They name the baby Richard Ilyevitch Jyrä.And the baby is born as a 62-year old, so he can retire right away.A certain detective office tries to find out if the baby is real or a fraud. Also a couple of gangsters are interested in the test tube adult.Koeputkiaikuinen ja Simon Enkelit (1979) is directed, written and produced by Spede Pasanen, and this was his second color picture. He also acts a double role in the lead. Both of them are equally good.In the picture are also his buddies Simo Salminen and Vesa-Matti Loiri (acting four roles).Olavi Ahonen is gangster Teuvo Tasanen.Brilliant, just brilliant.Tapio Hämäläinen plays Dr. Jaakko Jyrä.It's enjoyable to watch his work.Helge Herala is hilarious in a double role as Waiter and Police inspector.Seppo Laine plays Policeman. As does Esa Pakarinen Jr.Pehr Olof Sirén is Doctor.Kirsti Wallasvaara is one of Simo's angels.Anja Pohjola portrays Bank clerk.Last Sunday I watched this movie on a DVD with my family.I had seen it before, but these old Finnish gems you can enjoy more than once. There are many funny gags in the movie.Like the stuff with Vesku the vodka tourist and Simo the manager detective. And Tapsa the mother and Spede the new born baby.In the end of the movie we see Uuno Turhapuro rowing and almost being knocked over by Spede's bigger boat. Exactly ten year ago we heard some sad news, that comedian Spede Pasanen has passed away.I was very saddened by the news, since it felt like Spede had always been there, and will always be there. He was a man who knew what people liked, what made 'em laugh. That's what makes him a genius.Spede may not be with us anymore, but his movies will live on.
