Heartbeat 100 (1987) Maggie Cheung stars as Maggie, a young television writer on holiday. Whilst on holiday, she's trying to write a telescript about a crime drama for her television company. Maggie brings some company along, Chu-Chu, her "boyfriend" Weeny-Eyes and a cute little dog named Sheepie(a toy poodle). Trouble comes along when Maggie (up late working on the telescript) sees what she thinks is a murder. In a panic, she calls the local constable. This irritates her neighbors, but this is only the beginning of her woes. There's a psycho loose that wants Maggie.
Maggie Cheung is very young (and very hot) in this early starring vehicle. This is one of the films she had to endure before she become one of Hong Kong's biggest stars. A very unusual Hong Kong film. There's some real gory set pieces in this movie. I believe the movie is slightly uncut on tape because there are some scenes in this movie that are too graphic for a Cat. II film. Co-Director Kent "Fatty" Cheung has a cameo role as a Police Officer.
Interesting exploitive fluff from Cinema City!! Highly Recommended for Maggie Cheung's presence alone!
