- AnecdotesFull Frontal was the third incarnation of long running comedy sketch shows in Australia. Beginning as The DeGeneration (1986) its main players split into The Comedy Company (1988), Fast Foward (1988), and The Late Show (1992). When both series ended they merged into a new show Full Frontal (1993) before moving to a new station later and becoming Totally Full Frontal (1998). A short lived all female cast series called Big Girls Blouse (1994) failed to last after one season. Some cast members such as Mark Mitchell, Kim Gyngel and Eric Bana attempted a solo series based on popular characters, however they where unsuccessful. Shaun Micallef has continued the tradition in many forms over the years in a variety of shows such as The Micallef Program (1998) and Micallef Tonight (2003).

If you loved the Monty Pythons/ Not Only But Also/ Not the 9 o'clock News/ Beyond the Fringe etc. era of telly, this is the sort of stuff that gives you hope for the future. Rob Sitch was the funniest man alive: he probably still is, but he's grown up, and does more grown up stuff. If you need another reason to leave all your money to the ABC, D-Gen is it.
