Scott Bakula plays Detective David Mitchell apprehends a Mafia enforcer and a cop killer that the whole police department has been searching for. It is Detective Mitchell's testimony in court that can send this cold blooded killer to the electric chair. Although he wants justice for his fellow officer the Detective does not believe in the death sentence and he and his family undergo abuse and terror for these beliefs. He has a contract out on his life and all he wants to do is stay alive and do what he believes is right. This is based on a true story and is very well written and extremely well acted. This is a must for fans of Bakula and also anyone who like me loves a true story or weepy.
