Oscar Micheaux and Alfred Hitchcock

By this stage, black audiences were beginning to depart from Micheaux because of the repetition in his films. Admittedly, he wasn't saying anything new or fresh in his films by this stage, but at least he could make a contribution to cinema in the same way that Hitchcock was doing at the time.
