Woody's later cartoons were pretty watered down & terrible, even when compared to other studios like Paramount & Warner Bros. 7-Arts. "The Snoozin' Bruin" is one of Woody's better shorts from the 70's, but that's not staying a whole lot. First off, the animation is very dull looking, although the animation & characters aren't designed terribly & move decently well. The cartoon does have a few good moments, like when Woody attempts to get rid of the bear, & the ending was especially a real treat, very unexpected & funny! However, I feel as if Woody doesn't really fit in here. I'd imagine him going insane or even going all Looney Tunes style on the bears, but nope, he just sort of deals with them. Granted, it's not like it doesn't;t work, just not as well or effectively when compared to Woody's madcap persona. To put it simply, not bad at all, a far stretch from terrible, but definitely could've used some refineries.
