This is a great short film. In addition to clever writing, Bellida paid special attention to the photography. Together with his Director of Photography, Bellida tells as much through the way he frames his subject as he does with the dialog -- which in itself is a sign of a real filmmaker. When you see this film, pay attention to how he uses light, color and the frame to direct your experience. The use of color in the diner scene is an excellent example. He thinks everything out. I am confident this young filmmaker will be worth watching going forward.
