Many Norwegian cinemas chose not to screen this film, and only 20 of 450 cinemas chose to show it. This lead the director to start a war against Norwegian cinema rules, and made a documentary about this as his next film, also containing an illegal outdoor screening of the film in Hønefoss, while stopped by the local police.
