I highly praise the screenwriter of this movie for writing a wonderful plot that focuses on sacrifice. I cried a lot in this film as I could enter deep and find myself as a character of it. Though the film's beginning part resembles with that of Hindi film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) or that of later release, Andaaz (2003), the uniqueness is that both the lead characters in this film suppresses their feelings and hide their love. They get hurt when they had to separate from each other. This is very different from the two Hindi films given above as there is no concept of remarriage or a change from single-side love to two-way love in this Malayalam film. The most interesting thing to note is that Niram has shown the poster of Hindi film, Mann (1999) in one of its scenes and gave the same posture to its lead characters in their dreams or memories. This is evident from their position of attempt to kiss the forehead. I compared with Hindi films because this film was remade in Hindi as Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) at the peak of romantic era.
Overall, this is a film that portrays the college life which makes it entertaining. During the climax, the audience will have tears in their eyes which is reflective of the serious story that involves pushing back one's desires and confining the relationship within the wall boundaries and not going beyond it.
