Anecdotes
Despite the immense popularity of the first edition of It'll Be Alright On The Night, which topped the charts in 1977, this second special initially didn't fare as well.

Scheduled directly opposite the BBC's screening of Part V (1932-1933) (1979), which was joint 16th in the charts with 13.7 million viewers, this edition failed to make the Top 20.

However, a repeat broadcast on February 4th 1983 saw it fare far better, reaching third place with 16 million tuning in.
