The point of this film is to highlight the aids problem in Mozambique and the fact that, although a very small amount of condoms are actually given out (5 a year for each sexually active man) many of them are used by kids to make balls. This is interesting and not something I knew but, by only telling us this at the end, the majority of this film just seems pointless and a little dull. The direction is good and the camera moves well but the lack of narrative or flow to the "story" means that it doesn't do anything other than show us how the kids make the balls. If the use and reuse of the yellow sweater was meant to be meaningful or symbolic then I'm afraid it was lost on me.
An interesting and important point to make then, but not a great short film in its own right and probably not worth hunting down.
