- AnecdotesDespite that the game was originally called Conker Live and Uncut, several Parts of the Nintendo 64 game were cut from from the xbox release. These include: Many swear words that were able to be heard in the N64 version have been bleeped out. An area near the beginning of the N64 game where Conker falls down a waterfall isn't in the Xbox version. Instead when Conker falls he just appears back at the top again. The cheats screen of the original game is gone, an umbrella with Kazooie from the Banjo games that could be seen in the chapter select screen is no longer visible, Also on the N64 original Conker spun around in mid air when he jumped which he doesn't do in the remake.

The magazine he is reading is called DRUDGE with Master Chief from Halo on the cover and Rare's Killer Instant logo on the back, according to a updated screen shot of the game the magazine has been replaced with a different one called Fur Only with Berri on the cover and the Conker L&R box art on the back. The DRUDGE magazine can be found in the demo version of Conker L&R.

Conker used to be a very decent character, and was featured in games for all ages. But for some irrational reasons, his creators corrupted and turned him into a demented freak. Perhaps turning that rodent to how he is in Conker's Bad Fur Day was a mistake. Perhaps the sales would have been far different had the programmers stuck to the more family-friendly Twelve Tales: Conker 64.
A few years later, the programmers created a remake of the dirty game and titled it Conker: Live and Reloaded. Here they try to clean things up by censoring the ugliness from the early game. I'm not sure if any of that helped as the remake did not achieve best-seller status (selling 1,000,000+ units). The remake didn't even achieved Platinum Hit status (selling 400,000+ units within its first 3 quarters of release.
I guess all these show that the idea of turning a nice decent critter into a dirty psychotic is nothing more than a disgusting travesty.
