Luella Miller

This is almost like two movies, the first seventy minutes slow and poorly lit, poorly directed and hazy cinematography in the outdoor scenes.

Dialogue is terrible, the lead actor mumble's incoherently, the Luella character is by far the most interesting of the leads, the rest of the actors seem amateur and try to hard.

Interesting subplot is the putting on of Shakespeare's Macbeth by the local playhouse involving most of the main characters.

To keep this spoiler free is difficult but let's say that everything that Luella does affects everyone she interacts with and for the worse.

Is it worth watching?

Yes, the last ten minutes has a severe sex scene, gross, and violence totally unexpected and to me, most welcome.

Even the cinematographer wakes up!

Worth a watch.
