An obscure but interesting fringe porn director Joe Gallant takes many a credit, ranging from sound design to writing/directing, for this hardcore tribute to the softcore expose Adult movies so familiar from the 1960s. He even includes quite a bit of gritty black & white footage in homage to those bygone days.
Sasha Grey stars as an archetypal young woman who falls into the porn jungle of L.A., but seemingly escapes even though the cynical voice-over narration hints otherwise.
Obviously her fans will enjoy this feature, but I found her, as always, a blank performer on screen, overshadowed by her femme supporting cast, especially by Rachel Luv as her sister. Luv looks just like the usual 1960s softcore heroine, though like all the performers in Gallant's cast she is called upon to emphasize anal sex.
Dino Bravo, a familiar face in porn history who rarely gets the spotlight, is quite effective as male lead, portraying sleazy pornographer Armond Paris and famed gonzo actress Kelly Wells excels in the picture's sleazier moments.
