As with many Hanna-Barbera shows of the time, Blast-Off Buzzard was a regular segment of the anthology cartoon series "C B Bears (1977)". Other segments were C B Bears (1977); Heyyy, It's the King! (1977); Posse Impossible (1977); Undercover Elephant (1977) and Shake, Rattle and Roll (1977). Each cartoon riffed on a popular television show or film - for example, Undercover Elephant parodied "Mission: Impossible".
