Anecdotes
The original arcade versions featured hidden Mortal Kombat characters to use. The NBA caught wind that Acclaim had incorporated Mortal Kombat stars into the game as hidden characters. They were ordered to be removed. And were dropped from all arcade versions after 1.3. Acclaim also dropped plans for a secret hidden Mortal Kombat court.
