I had absolutely no idea what I was in for here, when I sat down to watch the 2021 horror movie "Dead Till Death". First of all, I had never heard about the movie, and I found the movie's title to be very odd. I did, however, like the movie's cover, and it was what initially lured me to pick it up.
Right, well I have to say that "Dead Till Death" is definitely a unique movie. And I really liked that. The storyline in the movie, from writers Jon Applebaum, Will Carsola, Mike Cessario and Rachel Courtney, is so bizarre and far out there that it was highly enjoyable. There were a good many laughs throughout the course of the movie, as well as some traditional horror stuff.
If you think "Critters" laced with a bit of "Evil Dead", but replace the creatures from "Critters" with killer cans, then you have "Dead Till Death". I kid you not. Yeah, I know it sounds strange and laughable, but it works really well. I was genuinely entertained by this movie from director Will Carsola, and it is a movie that I warmly recommend for fans of the the horror comedy genre.
I wasn' familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, but they definitely had a good ensemble of talented actors and actresses on the cast list. The performances were good, and added a great deal to the overall impression of the movie.
There is a good amount of blood and violence in the movie, which certainly kept an old gorehound such as myself happy. And again, I will recommend you sit down and watch this movie. And the effects in "Dead Till Death" are good.
Quite a pleasant surprise of a horror comedy, and a movie well-worth checking out. Trust me.
My rating of "Dead Till Death" lands on a seven out of ten stars.
