For a film about a cult of sex workers who prey on aggressively dominant men...it's pretty damn tame.
The crux of the plot revolves around a woman who has come to the group, in search of sanctuary.
Only to find out she is a pledge, required to prove her value and loyalty, in order to become the newest recruit in this cult made up of Medusas.
A form of ancient beast, who not only enact divine judgement...but must feed on their victims, in order to survive.
They aren't the snake haired, stone turning, Medusas of Greek mythology, however.
Rather...a bunch of women with snakelike qualities...including the ability to attack their victims with a venom like substance.
Unfortunately, the majority of the film is made up of drama between the women...and the lead up to the initiation of their new recruit.
With a sideplot about her relationship with a past victim, who was let go, but has retained memories pertaining to the disappearance of his friend (whom they killed).
Meaning that it's relatively light on the horror.
And tame in the sex department.
With too much of a focus on the soap opera drama.
And practically no gore at all.
Leaving you feeling pretty underwhelmed in the end.
