James D. Rolfe and Miike Matei's original idea for "OverAnalyzers" was that Rolfe and Matei would sit alone on a couch and comically over analyze things about their favorite franchises from Transformers to Batman, akin to what they did with their short web series "Most Unlikely vs Battles". Then Rolfe told Stephanie Yuhas and Matt Conant of Cinevore Studios of the idea, and they took over the project, bringing the show in a new direction with an additional four people in the cast.
