Cat v Dog, it is a classic struggle but here in an alternate reality the war between the two groups is global, with causalities on either side. As the politicians gather to try and broken some form of peace, a rouge group seek to ensure that it will only end with victory, not appeasement. This short film is based on the joke that this is a Hollywood style action movie but with cats and dogs in the overly dramatic lead roles; it is a nice idea in principle but it is one that never takes off here. The animation is quite odd. It is mostly still images where the camera moves across them and some animated or filmed images are used too. It feels very cheaply done and you never doubt that it is limited rather than the ultimate aim.
The central hook should be the images of the animals but these are not particularly well done. This leaves the "shut down everything" style dramatics to be the strength and this is amusing but unfortunately the voice acting is poor and it clunks along, robbing the film of its Hollywood status by virtue of how far it falls short of it in this regard. With ineffective animation, poor acting and a general lack of functionality, this film disappoints; it may well get some internet points and buzz for the "cats v dogs in Hollywood war movie" description, but the high point is how it sounds because after this it is all downhill.
