Romance in Hawaii

I was watching this movie because the title said Hawaii and Kelley Jakle is in it. It is the typical story, competition for a job, a meet cute and a misunderstanding followed by love. It was bugging me when they went to Hawaii and other than an aerial view of Waikiki and Diamond Head, it did not really look like Hawaii. I kept searching to find out where this movie was filmed and nothing came up. In the end credits it said that it was filmed entirely in Los Angeles. I thought I was losing my mind. If they are going to have Hawaii in the title in would be nice if they actually filmed there. It was pretty just odd looking to me.
