A criminal is relaxing in the club with his mistress when Batman punches and kicks his way into the club, grabs the guy and takes him to the roof. He only has one question – "where is Bane?". Okay, actually maybe he has more than one question.
This is a very simple short film which really only has one joke but gets away with it because the impersonation of Christian Bale's Batman is pretty much spot on. From the costume to the style of movement and even the intensity of the jaw line, it all looks the part, which is important. The joke though is playing on the style in which the "where's Bain" and "answer me" lines are delivered, because these are very well done and it is this that gets funnier as the line of question gets less relevant and yet the intensity of the delivery and the spot-on nature of the impression keeps it funny.
Although the setting is simple, the film looks professional and the style of shooting helps the impression work as well. It just about gets it done without repeating the joke too many times and I chuckled my way to the end.
