Started out great, but fell into a slump...
I had never heard about this 2024 movie titled "Operation Blood Hunt" prior to sitting down and watching it here in 2025. But with it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen, and a werewolf movie at that, of course I had to check out the movie.
The movie started out quite nicely, and actually was surprisingly interesting. But that quickly changed for the worse. After a very intense and enjoyable beginning, the movie sort of settled into a monotonous slump and never really recovered from that. Writer Brandon Slagle put together a generic script, and a somewhat mundane narrative for director Louis Mandylor to bring to the screen. Sure, it was watchable for what it was, but don't get your expectations up too high.
The acting performances in the movie were fair. I was only familiar with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Louis Mandylor, the former whom had a way too small part to play, because his talents were wasted in this movie.
Visually, then I will say that the movie was adequate. Some of the werewolf effects were good, but some also looked somewhat fake. In general, I will say that the special effects in the movie were good.
Watchable, particularly if you are a diehard werewolf fan. But otherwise it might be a somewhat bland viewing experience. While I did manage to sit through the entire movie, I can honestly say that I am not returning to watch it a second time.
My rating of "Operation Blood Hunt" lands on a four out of ten stars.

It's pretty bad, but not awful
My first impression is why did Jonathan Rhys Meyers agree to do this, he's a much better actor than this? But, here we are. It's a fairly decent plot--a little jumbled--but workable. I guess my biggest gripe is all the overacting. The characters are actually caricatures. It's a little painful to watch.
this is just bad..
Rampage must've
needed a payday to hire a good lawyer for his kid..American soldiers armed with Japanese weapons, Japanese soldiers armed with American weapons..
we're both look like they were made out of cardboard and styrofoam.
Am I the hell did we need vampires!?
This entire production look like it was thought up by 10-year-olds and produced and filmed by 8-year-olds.

A Tepid Letdown
In the waning days of WWII, a raging band of Allied soldiers are menaced by enemy troops, werewolves and ulterior motives. It's a decent enough setup that goes nowhere thanks to lackluster writing, ponderous direction and mediocre performances. Most of the characters are underdeveloped, there's no camaraderie among the team, too much time is devoted to an extraneous subplot, the action is poorly staged and the story is scattershot. Despite decent production values (considering the probable budget) and use of mostly practical effects, this is one that even werewolf enthusiasts will want to skip.
Missing storyline and missing story plot with unnecessary character fit in
Director is main reason for bad movie. All characters played well including werewolf but what is role of Murphy?? I feel harrassed after watching this movie. Why vampire needed in Murphy 's cafe? Why even Murphy needed in this movie? Who trained father and when? Why even werewolf living in village and taking service of villager?? How they converted? Who made team of extraordinary people but dieing in few seconds?
All this story loops made wrack this movie but I am surely appreciate people who played well in characters & also enjoyed enigmatic background music.
Low budget movie can be made good with proper story line. Even we enjoyed werewolf and his style , constume but he is hiding after wall feels like human behaviour.
So pls don't waste your money in making such movies.

- AnecdotesThe jump plane is a C-47/DC-3 but the interior shown, particularly at the end of the movie is a larger cargo plane, perhaps a C-123.
