After finding Blood on the Stars (1975-also reviewed) to be a charming film, I took a look at the rest of the online Abertoir Film Festival, and was happy to find another obscure Welsh Horror being presented with English subtitles for the first time, leading to me digging into the old earth.

View on the film:
Travelling down to the bottom of the garden, director Wil Aaron & cinematographer Graham Edgar slice open a rustic Folk Horror atmosphere in jagged tracking shots rolling over the mesmerizing real Capel Eithen archaeological site in Anglesey, landing on distorted panning shots towards the delightfully designed stone head dug up by William Jones.
Bringing a welcomed touch of comedy to proceedings as Jones considers what he could sell the item for, the screenplay by White Thomas bursts open ambitious Folk Horror flashbacks which peel open the events which led to the creation of the Celtic artifacts , with lively family drama that nabs Jones and all his family into what originally starts as nightmares, clawing into their lives, from the old Earth.
