If you ever hunted then you will enjoy this movie. This is not a couch potato movie buff wannabe hunter movie. This is realistic in many ways approaches of paid hunting excursions. This is a what would you do type of movie to me and from past experience the ones who criticize the most are the ones who critique there own demise. Low budget but good content and dialogue. Women rule in this movie and I appreciate the diversity. Not the same old same old story but good to watch and will lean you in if you watch wisely.

The cheasiest cheapest movie I have seen in recent years. Save yourself an hour and twenty minutes by not watching this. So awful that I am not even going to waste my time telling you how awful it is. Damn this was cheap. Last scene was cheap on whole another level. More like movies you expect from school projects.

While I had indeed never even heard about this 2024 movie titled "Mortal Game", as I happened to stumble upon it by random chance here in 2025, of course I still opted to give the movie a fair chance. I do watch just about anything I haven't already seen, and thus I had to check out what director John Lechago had to offer here. But with a staggering 3.4 rating here on IMDb, I can't claim to be having any grant expectations to the movie.

The storyline in the movie was pretty straightforward, but also insanely generic. Writers Paco Alvarez and John Patrick Lechago seemed to play it safe and betted on every generic trope of a movie of this type and genre. But hey, if you enjoy movies with an unknown creature terrorizing a small group of people, then you're in for a treat here.

As it happened to be, I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. The acting performances in the movie were fair, despite the fact that the script was a swing and a miss. And I will say that Deniella Alexis was definitely a nice addition to the cast list.

The effects in the movie were nothing to get excited about.

This was hardly a noteworthy movie, and a rather forgettable one at that. It is not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 85 minutes on watching. Nor is it a movie that I will ever watch again.

My rating of director John Lechago's 2024 movie Mortal Game" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
