Anecdotes
It was after working with them on the American music video Kelly Padrick: Tangled Forest (2012) by artist Kelly Padrick that director Patricia Chica decided to cast Holy Scar and Richard Cardinal in her production of Ceramic Tango. Even though they had no previous experience as dramatic actors, Patricia welcomed the challenge of transforming the two models and performers in the fetish world into cinema talent, because she felt they were right for her vision of the story. It took two months of training and hard work, thanks to the help of professional actors Kristian Hodko and Kelly Fanson, for Holy and Richard to achieve a performance level that blew away the director. The whole process was captured on video, and the documentary Let It Out! (2013) was born. The films were presented in front of a VIP audience at Cabaret Cléo, Montréal, during the launch party with cast and crew before hitting the festival circuit.

It is difficult to define this short film. All is familiar. From other contexts. But the message is clear and precise, well constructed, dark and useful, wise embroidery of details. A stain of blood. A young man in shower. An intruder. And the change of entire life. The build of film becomes more fascinating than the story itself. And, maybe, that does "Ceramic Tango" special.
