In the ending credits it's explained that the movie is an adaptation of the musical play produced by La Compañía Onbeat and premiered on July 26, 2019 in the Luchana theater (Madrid) under the first title of "Mil Campanas", a hint for the
Alaska y Dinarama's song "Ni tú ni nadie" where appears this lyrics. After a successful season in the Arlequín theater, it changed its name to the definitive "El musical de los 80 y 90" after its release in Sanpol theater in 2021. In the Amaya theater it was exhibited for eight months with seven weekly plays, being for four months the best play in all the country. In 2022 it was released in the Teatro de la Gran Vía, where it continues being exhibited. At the point of the movie premiere, the play has had more of 400,000 viewers, a true hit in the theater history on Spain.
