The cutest little dog in the world heads to the city to visit his sister. While at first this seems like the film will follow the same cute path, very quickly the ugly face of reality starts to intrude into the film, and this is a path that it continues down. The little dog encounters disinterested passersby and wobbly hens as part of his experience which ultimately takes him deeper into the underbelly (udderbelly?) of the city.
In terms of content, there is not too much here to write about, but what does work is the way the film twists these cute animals into something torrid and perverted by society. This rings true since it is rare to find anything pure that real life does not affect, and this is what we see here – just like Rule 34 suggests, so it is here in this short. In showing this the film is quite amusing, but mostly is enjoyable for how it clashes the two aspects together – the sweet dog and the crude and garish reality of the city. It is not the most memorable thing you'll watch but it is amusing in its clash – and all the more so when you find that the makers of this are mostly active working on Cbeebies making children's cartoons.
