Normally I trust IMDb implicitly. If it says 6.5 as it says here, I expect a good movie. This is nothing of the sort. This is sluggish all the way through.

No rhythm. Loads of empty moments. Loads of conversations between the father and the daughter, which are nonsensical. There is a time when she's doing basic maths and the father can't do it. And you think there's something wrong in the water of some of that country. They cannot do basic stuff which in countries in the Far East would be done by 6-year-olds.

It is unbelievable. The corruption shown here. The upside down world. The sheriff being the biggest drug runner in the area. I mean frankly, we are jealous of your freedoms, George. We really are. Unbelievable stuff. Very poor acting.

The little girl is kind of halfway good. The father though. Never seen him before, the actor. Absolutely appalling. Half the time he doesn't even know how to deliver his own lines. It is really, really very poor. All the stuff about Aryan white supremacists is so dull. We've heard it a thousand times before.

It's not interesting. Nothing about this film is interesting. It's a waste of time. Frankly, 6.5? How come? Did the studios pay a lot of people to vote? I gave it a 3 out of respect for the little girl in the story who, some of the time, acts fairly well. But the rest of it, good for the bin. The shredder. Whatever. Rigged numbers here. Has to be.

This is a very hip series computers dance music extremely great soundtrack the filmmaker here Simon Bouisson is a master at finding locations which are usually disused buildings of an industrial nature in a film he made recently he did the same .

He is also a great master at using drones in fact Drone (2024) was the name of the film just mentioned.

The main character here the boy Théo Fernandez he's a spitting image of Mr Bean which is hilarious. Once you've spotted that you cannot forget it he has the face of a guy who would get bullied and he does get bullied in the first seriesl; then he fights back that is basically what the first series is about

The main actress who plays the character of Alma Carmen Kassovitz is extremely attractive. She has star quality and it would not be surprising to see her again time and time again in different films. She is the daughter of the film director of the famous French movie La haine (1995) her presence on screen is already magnetic

The overall vibe is very teen you know extremely up-and-coming hungry greedy young people who want to get their share of the cake so there is not much to like there frankly in their personalities in my view

The series has a great flow a great rhythm which is really underpinned by this incredibly good musical score Dance music throughout and is always related to what is going on in a way that is extremely enhancing of the narrative Great Score

As regards the linguistic side I saw earlier on that somebody had made a review and described the fact that he/she spoke French but they couldn't really follow what were they were saying trust me that is not a problem.

I am French but much older and I cannot understand half of what they say I have to have the subtitles all the time in French and even then sometimes I don't know what they just said.

That is the fact that they use all this youth slang and so many American words studding their speech. Extremely irritating to an older person, but hey the-times-they-have-a-changed and Bob is geriatric
