Tomi was nominated for and attended prestigious leadership programs in her youth such as the Junior National Young Leaders Conference and the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference in D.C. where she met and learned from leaders on Capitol Hill, and where she witnessed Barack Obama be sworn into office.
